Federalism as Worst Form of Statecraft

From 1492-1763 European nations immigrated to America to pursue happiness and formed a New World for themselves. England had sovereignty over America. England monarch passed laws for thirteen colonies in America in the absence of what thirteen colonies wanted.

From the 1760s to the 1770s, thirteen American colonies had difficulty with England's tax policy. The tax policy became a cornerstone for thirteen American colonies to make a convenient marriage to unify their militia forces to acquire independence from England. On July 04th, 1776, the US gained independence from England. The US was not one unified nation. It is composed of many countries and represents itself as one nation. National unity was absent, and it could move toward a state of civil war as one state acquires its self-autonomy.

Some political science assumes the federal system was an ideal way to decentralize political power among regional governments and one central government that relies on the provincial governments. Consequently, political abuse becomes diminished to the minimum amount.

The federal system is a vast political machine, requiring a substantial amount of taxpayer money to operate and self-sustain itself. The federal political machine begins to cost taxpayers money to run; it causes a significant debt and deficit.  The federal plan requires technocrats to manage the political machine. The technocrats are a member of a technically skilled elite who calculates everything according to the numbers and not what people need.

The technocrats advocate a libertarian political economy as the only way to solve the financial crisis.  The libertarian political economy rejects equality, which is embedded in social programs and is costly to maintain. Social programs are not generating revenue and rely on taxpayers' money to self-sustain themselves. As social programs seek public funds to operate, they contribute to the nation's debt and deficit and cause further financial crises.

The income gap between rich and poor begins to grow, and the middle class begins to shift toward the class does not have. The technocrats start to tax the working class to pay the debt and deficit. The power elite has the political will and power to avoid taxes.

In the end, social programs are hurting, and the crime rate begins to rise as people are facing inequality. The working class cannot pay their medical bills, or the working class cannot pay their rents or other basic necessity of life. The system will fail because it is relying on the working class to pay the debt and deficit. For example, former premier of Ontario Mike Harris viewed everyone as lazy. Except for his elite friends who were head of Crown Corporations and Mr. Harris's friends had several government jobs, too. It was unbelievable how was it possible for one person to manage several full-time portfolios?

As a result, the federal system is for a new nation's birth to gain independence from a mother country. The system cannot operate as an efficient political economy. It has several layers that require taxpayers money to sustain those layers. Those layers are costing money to work, and it causes debt and deficit for a nation. Technocrats are stepping in to solve the financial crises by cutting back on social programs. As social programs are eliminated, it leads to more inequality in society and leads to social unrest. The federal system will not blossom any fruit for any nation.
